“Should be called Rewiring Lamps for Dummies. Before reading this book, I NEVER would have considered taking on a project like rewiring a lamp. Now that I've seen it all laid out with clear illustrations and explanations, I feel confident I could rewire and update an old lamp that's seen better days. I like the idea of refurbishing lamps, but working with electrical wiring scares me.
This is a good thing. We recommend having a very healthy respect for working with anything that conducts electricity. It can cause shocks, fires, and worse. That’s why the book includes a ton of information about safety while working with lamps and wiring. You’ll learn how to identify lamps that could pose a shock hazard, how to ensure safety of your components, and all about electrical polarization.
What if I buy it and don't like it?
We’re confident that the information in the book and extra content will be helpful and inspire you to confidently refurbish your own lamps, but if you read through the whole thing, and still decide it wasn’t for you, we will happily refund your purchase.
So wait, is it a book or a video course?
It’s an e-book that will be available for you to download either as a PDF to keep on your computer, or as an ePub file to read on your digital reading device. You can even print it out!
The beauty of having all this in e-book form is that all of the additional videos and content are linked to directly from the book. Throughout the book you can click through to videos and other useful content to help explain key concepts and techniques.

What does a harp do?
A harp is an essential piece of equipment necessary to attach a Spider/Washer fitter lampshade to a lamp.
How do I attach this harp to my lamp and lampshade?
Our harp kit includes all of the component pieces that you’ll need to attach your harp to both your lamp and your shade. The saddle sits at the base of the light bulb socket and attaches directly to the harp. The lampshade is placed over the harp and is secured into place once the finial is screwed onto the harp. Explore the many tutorials on our site to aid you in this process.$9.99
Use our wooden, ball-shaped lamp finials to keep your lampshade in place, while adding a little something extra to your lamp at the same time! These finials easily screw onto basic lamp harps and stop lampshades from teetering from side to side. Since they’re made from a natural wood, you can easily customize them to perfectly match your lamp by adding a little paint. Or leave them unfinished for a clean and natural look.

"I love making my own items for my house and DIY table lamps are my next project. I have been looking for the perfect item to use and I have found it with these Natural Wood Ball Shaped Lamp Finials. We are currently redoing our house in cedar trim and my husband made me window boxes in the living room that a pair of cedar lamps would look beautiful.
With them being all natural wood they are perfect to stain cedar to match my trim and the balls are the perfect size for holding the shade on the lamps my husband is making from cedar. The balls are already pre threaded to fit any standard lamp shape harp. You recieve two in a pack which is perfect as most people have at least two lamps and mine will match perfect.
