  • 8 or 12 Foot Lamp Cord
  • 4 Piece Socket Set With Standard Off/On Knob
  • Knurl and Metal Washers
  • 2 1/2″ Nipple

STEP ONE:

Thread the knurl washer onto the nipple (steel threaded pipe).

Thread the rubber washer onto the nipple behind the knurl washer.

Thread the socket base onto the nipple until it's secure.

STEP FOUR:

Locate the wires on the electrical cord.

Pull the wires apart.

Push the wires through the nipple.

And continue pushing them through the socket.

Tie an "underwriter's knot" by tucking the left wire behind the right wire.

Then loop the right wire down...

Pull up on the wires to tighten the knot.

Loosen the screw on the middle socket piece.

Connect the wire ends around the screws.

STEP FIFTEEN:

Tighten the screw back up so that the wires are snug.

Fit the middle socket piece into the base.

STEP SEVENTEEN:

Attach the top socket piece to the base until it clicks into place.

Add your light bulb and voila! Working light fixture :)
