The craft-blog-osphere has been crazy about lamps lately and we love it! September saw a bunch of cute DIY lamps and lampshades. Many were inspired by the change in seasons to Fall, with natural or rustic elements. What's awesome also is the number of pendant lights represented here. Crafty gals are getting really adventurous with lighting!
Shayna from the Wood Grain Cottage made this rustic chicken wire pendant light for... wait for it... 30 bucks! She had the clever idea of using embroidery hoops as the frame.
Paper & Stitch featured a tutorial by Brittni Mehlhoff for this stunning ‘live lampshade’ pendant light made with fresh flowers. The longevity of this might be short, so it's definitely one for a special occasion.
This super-simple but eye catching marble table lamp from Weekday Carnival is made by wrapping marble paper around a tube. Loving the styling on this one.
Rinchen at High on DIY used a nifty weaving technique to create this colorful duct tape pendant lampshade. Marie from Breaking Bad would be so proud of this color scheme :)
This has to be one of my favorites. A video tutorial showing how to make a lampshade with a glitter interior, by Simple DIYs. Looks a bit messy but so much fun. As Julia says in the video, you might want to use a darker colored lampshade for this. Of course you could make your own lampshade with our DIY Lampshade Supplies.
More bling of a different kind with this DIY beaded chevron light from Dwellings by Devore. Bethany actually made the pendant lampshade in a previous DIY post and chose to change up the look with a beaded chevron pattern. Combined with the white and yellow pinstripe ceiling (gorgeous!) this is a really nice modern look that retains some rustic elements with the raw wire and Edison bulb.
If you have an old lampshade that's on it's way out, take a leaf (or a twig!) out of Gina from The Shabby Creek Cottage's book. She dis-assembled the shade and used the bare frame to make this woodsy creation.
Lamp revamp time at Savvy Southern Style. Kim really turned this lamp around from a grungy wicker creation to a modern yet rustic bottle lamp. The bottle lamp kit that Kim used for this creation is available in our store.
Finally, what's the point of a roundup if you can't include your own project? I made this jute twine wrapped lampshade a couple of weeks back using our DIY Lampshade Supplies.
Hope this roundup has inspired you to get out and make your own lamp or lampshade (maybe both!?). Did you see an awesome lamp DIY in September that I missed? Let me know!

I promised Great Dr. Odunga to always post this testimony and I really want to say “Thank You” to everyone who supported me through the years. My name is Manuel Franco, New Berlin, Wisconsin. My story of how I won the Powerball lottery of $768.4M is a bit of a tale. I was feeling very lucky that day because I had contacted Great Odunga to help me with the winning Powerball numbers. I really had that great great feeling that I looked at the camera wanting to wink at it. I only did a tiny part of it when he told me he would give me the numbers and trusted him. He gave me the numbers after I played a couple other tickets along with it for $10. I checked my ticket after the winnings came online and saw the numbers were correct including the Power play. I screamed for about 10 minutes because it felt like a dream coming into reality. I had won $768.4M. Thank you Great Odunga. Well, his email is odungaspelltemple@gmail.com and odungaspelltemple@outlook.com You can also call or Whats-app him at +2348167159012 so you guys can contact him
